History and mission statement of Harvesta

History:

As a trained forester, Roger Keller founded R. Keller AG in 1986 together with 2 partners. At first, the company’s activities included mainly forestry work and various transports by truck.
In 1989, this company became the present Harvesta AG.
The beginning was marked by fully mechanized forest management with the first harvesters and forwarders in Switzerland.

This was also the time when attempts were made to take over wood ex-stock and to sell the resulting logs. Roger Keller subsequently specialized more and more in the marketing of softwood logs and industrial timber.
Cooperation business in Eastern Europe with machines against wood was the next venture of the young company. Since our customers procure their raw material mainly by rail in Europe and by ship to Asia, rail and ship logistics has become another specialty of Harvesta AG.
